The following is information about a number of retreats, weekend and 6-days, that are coming up in Esker in the coming months. Please let your friends know about these. Esker is a quiet place away from the noise and the busyness of life, a place apart, a ‘soul-space’ for everyone, of whatever age. ‘Welcome’ is our middle name here in Esker.
‘Come apart and rest awhile’ (Mark 6:31)– a time apart, a time away from the rush of life, to get the bigger picture, to be in touch with our humanity, our hungers, questions, and our deeper selves.
Meditation/Yoga: with Korko Moses S. J. This retreat is an opportunity for people to take time out to deepen their relationship with God through the practice of Meditation. Facilitator: Korko Moses S.J. (India):
Fr. Korko Moses, an Indian Jesuit is coming to Redemptorist Retreat House, Esker from the September 8TH – 11TH 2017. The term yoga can be off-putting for some people but according to Fr. Korko, yoga is a scientific way to bring the mind to stillness and to align the body, mind and spirit correctly. Fr. Korko says his spiritual life has been enriched as a Christian and his knowledge of Jesus has been broadened through yoga / meditation.
The retreats are for people seeking to deepen their relationship with God and the Universe. They are also for people who find it difficult to pray and may have lost meaning in life. Fr. Korko has been coming to Ireland for the past 14 years and has held his very successful retreat in Esker for the past number of years.
