The annual Galway Cathedral Novena to the Mother of Perpetual Help begins on this Monday February 17th, and continues each day until Tuesday February 17th, inclusive.  A great welcome is given to every one who comes along to take part and pray. Fáilte roimh cách ! During the nine days, we will hold our families, friends, communities, nation, and world in our prayer. The Novena is all-embracing! We invite you to tell your friends.

TIMES OF NOVENA SESSIONS DAILY:

Weekdays:  7.30am,  11.00am and 1.10pm.   3.30pm, 7.30pm, and 9pm.

Sunday: 9.00am, 10.30am, 12.30pm    4.30pm,  6.30pm,  8pm

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: Thursday 20th: at  7.30am,  1.10pm,  9pm.

Mass at 11am, 3.30pm and 7.30pm. Confessions before and after.

MASS OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK:  Saturday 22nd February at 11.00am.

BLESSING OF BABIES AND SMALL CHILDREN: Sunday 23rd February after all sessions.

CANDLELIGHT PRAYER Before the Blessed Sacrament: Wednesday February 19th at 10pm,, Monday February 24th at 10pm.

OUR PREACHERS: Fr Brendan Callanan C.Ss.R. is a native of Cork. Brendan made his religious profession in 1964 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1972. Since then he has spent 33 years in South America, was provincial of the Dublin Province in the ’90′s, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Dundalk Community from 2015 to 2019. He was recently appointed superior of the community in Esker.

Clare Gilmore hails from Co. Down. Clare graduated from the Milltown Institute in Dublin in 2000. She has worked in youth ministry, hospital chaplaincy and adult faith development. She preaches parish missions and Novenas. Currently Clare works in Drumalis Retreat Centre, Larne.

Fr. Denis Luddy, C.Ss.R. joined the Redemptorists in 1082 and was ordained in 1991. Apart fro two years in the Philippines, Denis has spent his life giving parish missions, novenas and school retreats. A native of Co. Cork, he has had assignments in our Redemptorist communities in Limerick, Dundalk, and Esker. Denis is a highly regarded preacher!
