Fr. Peter Flannery, Redemptorist, died in Limerick yesterday, November 13th. May he rest in peace. Fr. Peter was a local man, from KillimorDaly in this parish of Kiltullagh. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, – to Fr. Tony of this Esker community, to his sister Geraldine in Tuam, and to his brother Frank in Dublin.
Funeral Arrangements: Remains will be moved to Mount St. Alphonsus church, Limerick, on Sunday at 6.30pm, followed by Mass at 7.15pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11.30am. Attendance at funeral restricted to 25 (including Redemptorists). Will be streamed on www.novena.ie
Fr. Peter was born on February 8th, 1942. He joined the Redemptorists at age 18, and took his first vows here in Esker on September 24, 1961. After his studies in Cluain Mhuire, Galway, he was ordained to the priesthood on September 17 of 1967. He has worked as a parish missioner for many years, in Ireland. He has lived in Limerick for more than a decade, and has been in poor health for much of that time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam! May he rest in the peace of Christ.

Removal from the monastery to the Redemptorist Church on Sunday evening at 6.30 followed by Mass at 7.15pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11.30am. Funeral private for relatives and close friends. Mass will be streamed on www.novena.ie.
